We Will Go Into the House of the Lord

I was glad when they said unto me, “We will go into the house of the Lord.” — Psalm 122:1.

When I first ran inside St. Barnabas out of the rain on Good Friday, 2005, I entered a welcoming community whose reach extends beyond the building’s iconic red doors and stained glass. Its parishioners reflect the influence of their Patron Saint, “the son of encouragement” Its culture is one of acceptance, love, and service.

As we enter into the 142nd Birthday of our home parish, let’s give thanks to God for the founders and all who have come and gone through our red doors in ages past. Let’s anticipate all that God has in store for us and continue growing into the parish family God is calling us to be.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. — Philippians 4:8.
